Coverage Koala is a free matching service that connects business owners with licensed, independent insurance professionals. We are not an insurance company, agency, or broker, and we do not sell, underwrite, or advise on insurance policies.

We may collect personal identification information from Users in a variety of ways, including when Users visit the Site, complete our assessment, or contact us. Users may visit the Site anonymously, and we collect personal identification information only when Users voluntarily submit it to us. Users can always refuse to supply personal identification information, except that doing so may prevent them from engaging in certain Site-related activities, such as being matched with an insurance professional.

• Phone verification data, such as the one-time code we send you by text message and whether it was successfully confirmed.
• Information you provide to us in emails or messages that you send to us.

It is possible to view the Site without providing any personal details. However, without submitting the assessment you will not be able to be matched with an insurance professional.

• To produce anonymized reports and statistics about use of the Site, provided that they do not identify any individual User;
• For security purposes and to meet our legal and record-keeping obligations.

By submitting the assessment you agree that Coverage Koala may send you a one-time verification code by text message and that the licensed partner we match you with may contact you by phone or email about your quote. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out of text messages from Coverage Koala at any time by replying STOP.

6. Disclosure of your information

Other than as expressly set out in this Privacy Policy or as otherwise required or permitted by law, we will not share, sell, or distribute the information you provide to us without your consent.

We may disclose your personal information:

• To the licensed insurance professional we match you with, so that they can contact you and prepare your quote. That partner pays Coverage Koala a fee for the introduction. Under some state privacy laws, an arrangement like this may be treated as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, and you may opt out as described in Section 9;
• To service providers who perform functions on our behalf, such as website hosting, analytics, and text-message delivery, under contracts that limit how they may use your information;
• To advertising platforms such as Meta Platforms, Inc. in order to measure and improve our advertising;
• Where required to do so by law or court order; and
• To any person to whom disclosure is necessary to enable us to enforce our rights under this Privacy Policy or our Terms & Conditions.

We do not post your information publicly, add you to third-party marketing lists, or distribute your details to multiple agencies at once.

The Site may contain links to websites operated by third parties, including the websites of our insurance partners. We do not control and accept no liability or responsibility for those websites, and this Privacy Policy does not apply to them.
