1. Agreement

Please read these Terms & Conditions ("Agreement") completely before using thecoveragekoala.com ("Site"), which is owned and operated by Coverage Koala. This Agreement documents the legally binding terms and conditions attached to the use of the Site. By using or accessing the Site in any way, viewing or browsing the Site, or submitting our assessment, you are agreeing to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree with any provision of this Agreement, please do not use the Site.

2. The service

Coverage Koala is a free referral service. We collect information about your business through our assessment and introduce you to a licensed, independent insurance professional from our partner network. Coverage Koala is paid a referral fee by the partner we introduce you to; the service is free for business owners, and you will never receive a bill from Coverage Koala.

Coverage Koala is not an insurance company, agency, or broker. We do not sell, underwrite, bind, modify, or advise on insurance policies. Nothing on this Site is an offer of insurance, a quote, or a promise of coverage. We do not warrant that you will be matched with a partner, that a partner will contact you, or that any quote offered will be suitable, available, or the best price for you.

To use the service you must be at least 18 years old, located in the United States, and authorized to share information on behalf of the business you describe. By submitting the assessment you agree that Coverage Koala may send you a one-time verification code by text message, and that the partner we match you with may contact you by phone or email about your quote. Message and data rates may apply. Our Privacy Policy explains this in more detail.

3. For general informational purposes only

The information provided on this Site does not, and is not intended to, constitute legal, financial, tax, or insurance advice; all information, content, and materials available on this Site are for general informational purposes only. Information on this Site may not constitute the most up-to-date information. Decisions about insurance coverage should be made with a licensed professional who understands your particular circumstances, and no reader or user of this Site should act or refrain from acting on the basis of information on this Site without first seeking advice from such a professional. Use of, and access to, this Site does not create an insurance agent–client or any other professional relationship between you and Coverage Koala.

Quotes, advice, policies, and service are provided by independent licensed partners, not by Coverage Koala. Those partners are responsible for their own licensing, conduct, pricing, and products. We do not control our partners and are not responsible for their acts or omissions; any agreement you enter into is between you and that partner. All content on this Site is provided "as is," and all liability with respect to actions taken or not taken based on the contents of this Site is hereby expressly disclaimed to the fullest extent permitted by law.

4. Your responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate and current information when using the Site, including a telephone number that you control. You may not submit another person's details without their permission, and you may not use the Site or the assessment to test, scrape, spam, or disrupt the service.

5. Intellectual property

The Site and all of its original content, including the Coverage Koala name, the koala character, our logo, copy, and site design, are the sole property of Coverage Koala and are, as such, fully protected by the appropriate international copyright and other intellectual property rights laws. They may not be copied or used without our prior written permission.

6. Termination

Coverage Koala reserves the right to terminate your access to the Site, without any advance notice, including where we reasonably believe this Agreement has been violated.

7. Links to other websites

Our Site may contain links to other websites and online resources that are not owned or controlled by Coverage Koala, including the websites of our insurance partners. Coverage Koala has no control over, and therefore cannot assume responsibility for, the content or general practices of any of these third-party sites and/or services. We strongly advise you to read the terms and conditions and privacy policy of any site that you visit as a result of following a link posted on our Site.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Coverage Koala shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your dealings with a partner, from a gap or lapse in insurance coverage, or from your use of or inability to use the Site. Where liability cannot be excluded, Coverage Koala's total aggregate liability shall be limited to one hundred US dollars ($100).

9. Governing law

This Agreement is governed in accordance with the laws of the State of Missouri, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising under this Agreement will be handled by the state or federal courts located in Missouri.

10. Changes to this Agreement

Coverage Koala reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. We do so by posting the updated terms on the Site and revising the date at the top of this page. Your decision to continue to visit and make use of the Site after such changes have been made constitutes your formal acceptance of the new Terms & Conditions. We therefore ask that you check and review this Agreement for such changes on an occasional basis. Should you not agree to any provision of this Agreement or any changes we make to it, we advise that you do not use or continue to access the Site.
